Isaac Hayes & Brooklyn Funk Essentials Lost Tapes Found
Believed to have been forever lost, the original 2" multitrack tapes from the 1996 collaboration between Brooklyn Funk Essentials and Isaac Hayes, were amazingly recovered from a dusty Bed-Stuy basement yesterday.
The soul music legend worked together with BFE and producer Danny Madden on music for a movie, where he was to star alongside blacksploitation diva Pam Grier. But the film was eventually re-written, and neither the music or the two megastars were in the final version of it. What will happen to the tapes now is anybody's guess.
A Time Of Reunion
May has been a wonderful time of sweet reunions for Brooklyn Funk Essentials, as recording of the new album has progressed in studios in Brooklyn and New Jersey.

Digital Manager
The BFE crew has recently been blessed with a new Digital Manager / Social Media Dude / Visual Evangelist, who knows how to order coffee in proper French...
Richard's job is to film and photograph everything the band does - good times / bad times, as well as to boost the bands digital- social media- website- presence.
Eventually, the fans will know more about BFE's members than they do themselves.
Papa Dee has dubbed him the EvilEye.
